The SSC has also clarified that candidates who had exercised the self slot selection facility have been assigned their preferred exam city and date, though in some cases, the shift may have been changed due to operational reasons.
Candidates who opted for alternate cities of examination have been allotted centres as per their preferences to the maximum extent possible. For those who did not utilise the slot selection option, the exam city and date have been allotted based on availability.
The Commission stated that “most of the candidates have been allocated examination city among the preferences given by them in the application form.” However, if any candidate has not been assigned a city from their preferred list, they can raise a request through the feedback portal on SSC’s website by November 8, 2025 (11:00 pm). The SSC may reallocate cities depending on slot availability.
The Commission has introduced a revised procedure for candidates availing the “Own Scribe” facility. As per the new guidelines, all existing scribe registrations have been discontinued, and candidates must now complete fresh registration for their scribes through the SSC portal.
Scribe registration has been integrated with Aadhaar authentication, making it mandatory for all scribes to register using their Aadhaar details. Candidates who wish to use the “Own Scribe” option for the CHSL Tier I 2025 exam are required to submit their scribe’s registration number to generate an entry pass.
The SSC has specified that candidates can map their scribe’s One-Time Registration (OTR) until November 8, (11 pm). Entry passes will be generated only for those who successfully complete this process.
The rest of the scribe-related guidelines will remain unchanged as per the examination notice issued earlier.
