SSC CGL RE-Exam Date: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has scheduled the re-examination for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam on October 14, 2025. This re-exam is designated for candidates whose original test was interrupted by the Mumbai fire incident on September 26, 2025. The official notification has been issued and is available on the SSC’s website at ssc.gov.in.

In the press release, the Commission confirmed that during the course of these exams, some incidents of malpractice have also come to their notice, and some individuals have been apprehended by law enforcement agencies for producing fake PwBD documents and attempting to misuse the provision for availing of scribes.

“Some cases of remote access attempts have also been detected, and a detailed analysis of such reports is underway,” stated the release, adding that in case of candidates, where such evidence is ambiguous, to set the record straight, they will be made to appear for a re-exam to be held on October 14.

Exam conduction

SSC CGL exam have been concluded at all other centres. Around 28 lakh candidates registered for the exam, with approximately 13.5 lakh appearing to take the test. The examination was conducted in 45 shifts over 15 days at 255 centres across 126 cities.

Students feedback

As mentioned in the press release, the candidate feedback portal has received 18,920 submissions. Some candidates reported experiencing technical disruptions, which were verified through digital footprints. After thorough analysis, the affected candidates were rescheduled and given another opportunity to take the test.

Answer Key

The SSC CGL answer key is scheduled to release on October 15, coinciding with the opening of the objection window. Candidates will have the opportunity to review the answer key and submit objections, if any, within the designated timeframe. A fee of Rs 100 per question, which is non-refundable, will be required to raise objections.

Additionally, the application windows for the Delhi Police examinations and SI CPO 2025 have been opened up. The application window for Constable GD 2026 will open in November 2025.

The Tier 1 of CHSL exams will start from the fourth week of October 2025 and will be followed by SI CPO 2025, JE and MTS exams. The specific dates for these exams will soon be announced by the Commission.
