Guest teachers in government schools in Delhi, who were previously removed due to transfer and postings or permanent teachers will be reappointed soon, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said today.
Sisodia, who is also the Education minister, gave this assurance to a delegation of Dilli Atithi Shikshak Sangh which came to meet him at the Delhi Secretariat today.
“Those guest teachers who were removed because of transfer and postings of permanent teachers and have not got their reappointment would be reappointed soon. No guest teacher will lose job and they will also get experience certificate for the years they have taught,” Sisodia said.
“The guest teachers would now get one day leave every month. Woman guest teachers will also be entitled to re-employment after the maternity leave,” he added.
The delegation also demanded that the weightage for guest teachers in fresh teachers recruitment exam be increased from 0.75 per cent to 5 per cent per year and they must get fixed monthly salary instead of daily wages.
Sisodia assured them that there will be no partial treatment with guest teachers and their demands will be looked into.
