The State Bank of India (SBI) on September 1 announced the SBI Probationary Officer (PO) Preliminary Examination Result 2025. Candidates will be able to access their results on the official website at sbi.co.in.
In order to check their qualifying status, they will be required to log in using their registration or roll number, date of birth.
The SBI PO prelims exam was conducted on August 4 and 5, across centres nationwide. The prelims result will confirm whether a candidate is eligible to move forward to the next stage of recruitment.
Once the result is published, candidates can follow the steps below to check and download their scorecard:
Step 1: Visit the official SBI website at sbi.co.in.
Step 2: Navigate to the ‘Join SBI’ section and click on ‘Current Openings’.
Step 3: Select the link for ‘Recruitment of Probationary Officers’.
Step 4: Click on the SBI PO Result 2025 link.
Step 5: Enter your registration/roll number, date of birth, and captcha code.
Step 6: View, download, and print the result for future use.
Only those who meet the cut-off criteria will be shortlisted for the Mains examination, which is the second phase of the selection process. The recruitment process for SBI PO is carried out in three stages. Phase 1 is the Preliminary Exam, Phase 2 is the Mains Examination, and Phase 3 comprises a psychometric test, group exercises, and interview. Candidates who qualify in prelims will progress to the Mains, scheduled to take place in September.
This year, SBI has announced 541 vacancies for the Probationary Officer post. As per media reports, estimates suggest over 6.5 lakh candidates have applied, making the competition highly intense.
