After Ranoj Pegu, the Education minister of Assam's letter to the National Testing Agency (NTA) about providing Examination Centres for CUET in Barak Valley, the NTA has revised the assigned centres for select students of Assam. As per the revised schedule, the May 29 exam for Bengali (104) and Environmental Studies (307) in Silchar, Assam will now be held in a pen and paper (OMR-based) mode. Such candidates are advised not to travel outside Silchar, Assam. Fresh admit cards to the concerned candidates will be released soon on the official CUET UG 2024 website - exams.nta.ac.in However, this opportunity is being provided only to those candidates only who opted for Silchar as the examination centre and have received an admit card for another city due to logistic reasons. Also, those candidates who have already reached their exam city as mentioned in the available admit card may appear for the CBT mode examination on May 24. "All affected candidates are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to ensure they can appear for their exams," NTA said. Earlier this week, Pegu had that there is only one exam centre for the CUET exam at Silchar, which is causing problems for students of his state as they are having to travel to far off places for CUET UG 2024. The exam this year commenced on May 15, and will conclude today (May 24). However, the exam will be conducted separately for Delhi and Kanpur's one exam centre on May 29.
