NTA NEET UG 2025 Answer Key: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue the candidate’s response sheet and answer key of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) soon. NEET UG 2025 was held across the country on Sunday, May 4. The NTA NEET official website – neet.nta.nic.in will host the NEET UG answer key for all the question paper codes. 

In addition to the NEET answer key 2025, NTA will also be releasing the candidates’ NEET OMR response sheets. NTA is yet to announce any date for the release of the answer key. NEET UG result 2025 date is June 14.

Last year, NEET was held on May 5, the provisional key was released on May 29 after a 24-day gap. In 2023, NEET UG was conducted on May 7 and the provisional answer key was released on June 4 after a 28-day gap. NEET UG 2022 was was held on July 17 and after 45 days, on August 31, the provisional answer keys were.

The NTA conducted NEET UG 2025 in multiple exam centres across 5,453 centres in around 500 cities. Over 22.7 lakh candidates had registered for the NEET UG exams this year. 

NEET UG Result 2025: Category-wise expected cut-off

The NEET UG question paper comprised 180 compulsory questions in physics, chemistry and biology (botany and zoology). 

NEET UG 2025: What is the marking scheme

– Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks (+4)
– Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1)
– Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0)

If more than one option is found to be correct then four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options. However, if all options are found to be correct then four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.

If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped then all candidates who have appeared will be given four marks (+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

NEET UG 2025: How was exam this year?

According to students who took the test on May 4 and experts in the field, the questions in the NEET UG 2025 exam were more difficult compared to previous years. Many candidates found the overall paper more time-consuming and conceptually demanding. The questions followed the pre-Covid pattern, and the increased complexity, especially in physics and chemistry, made scoring high marks difficult.

NEET UG 2025: Category-wise expected cut-off

According to the academic desk, Vidyamandir Classes, students can expect similar qualifying scores to previous years. For the General category, the expected qualifying cut-off is around 720–162 marks, while for OBC, SC, and ST categories, it may range from 161–127 marks.” “These are percentile-based cut-offs and may vary depending on the difficulty of the exam and overall student performance,” the academic desk added.
