NEET UG 2023: The dates for the counselling process for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023 is about be declared soon. Once the counselling dates are announced, the schedule will be made available at the official website — mcc.nic.in.

Before the counselling process starts, medical aspirants are advised to keep their documents ready. The documents that MBBS candidates would need for NEET UG 2023 counselling are:

— Valid government issued photo ID card (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID)

— NEET UG 2023 scorecard

— Class 10, 12 marksheet

— NEET UG 2023 admit card

— Migration certificate

— Medical fitness certificate

— Category certificate, such as Caste, EWS, disability etc (if needed)

Meanwhile, the National Medical Commission (NMC) recently issued revised guidelines which states that marks scored in Physics will be prioritised, followed by Chemistry and Biology. Earlier, Biology was given priority, followed by Chemistry and then Physics.

The Commission has also issued new tie-breaking policy, which is likely to be implemented from next year.

NTA declared the NEET UG 2023 results on June 13, in which Tamil Nadu’s Prabanjan J and Andhra Pradesh’s Bora Varun Chakravarthi secured the top ranks by scoring 99.99 percentile scores. A total of 20.38 lakh registered for the exam of which 11.45 lakh candidates qualified.
