
NEET SS 2024: The National Board of Examination Medical Science (NBEMS) has introduced two new changes in the exam pattern of the National Eligibility Entrance Test – Super Specialty (NEET SS) 2024. In the notification dated October 11, the Board notified the tentative schedule for the conduct of NEET-SS 2024 on 29 and 30 March.
The two changes introduced by the Board are mentioned below, the rest of the scheme of examination stands the same as for all groups.
— For admissions to DM/DrNB Medical Oncology, there will be a separate question paper group (Medical Oncology Group). The questions in the paper of this group will be exclusively from the topics of medical oncology.
— For admissions to DM/DrNB Critical Care Medicine, there will be a separate question paper group (Critical Care Medicine Group). The questions in the paper of this group will be exclusively from the topics of critical care medicine.
“The prior entry eligible feeder qualifications for admissions to DM/MCh/DrNB courses shall be strictly by Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 and any clarification/amendments issued from NMC time to time in this regard.” read the notification of the NBEMS.
Candidates are advised to track to the NBEMS website, natboard.edu.in for the final schedule of examination, eligibility criteria, fee structure, further changes in the scheme of examination (if any) and other details.
The NEET SS exam is held to admit candidates into various DM, or MCh and DrNB Super Speciality courses as per Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, as no other exam even at the state level or institutional will be considered valid to allow candidates entry in these courses.
