The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the list of test cities for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024. NBEMBS also clarified that the test city and test centre communicated in the admit cards issued earlier for NEET PG 2024 which was to be held on June 23 is no longer valid.

“On account of additional security measures being taken by NBEMS and MoHFW (Govt. of India), this examination shall now be conducted in 185 test cities across the country,” the official notice stated.

The candidates who were issued NEET PG 2024 admit cards earlier will now be required to choose their test city again by exercising their choices of preferred test cities during an online window which shall be opened from July 19 to 22 (11:55 pm) at the official website — natboard.edu.in.

The allocated test city will be communicated to all concerned candidates through email on July 29, following which the test venue will be intimated through admit card which will be released on August 8.

Candidates should note that they will not be able to exercise the choice of shift (morning or afternoon) in which they will be allowed to take the examination. “The timings for both the shifts will be notified in due course,” the official notice stated. This will be the first time that the test will be conducted in two batches.

The NBE postponed the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Postgraduate (NEET PG) on June 22, a few hours before the exam was scheduled to be held as a precautionary measure. “This decision has been taken in the best interests of the students and to maintain the sanctity of the examination process… fresh dates will be announced at the earliest,” the ministry said in a statement.
