NEET PG 2024 exam today; list of things not allowed inside the hall

NEET PG will be conducted in two shifts -- first from 9 am to 12.30 am and the next from 3.30 pm to 7 pm. For the first slot, applicants will have to reach by 8.30 am and for the second slot, candidates will have to reach by 3 pm. The gates for the morning and afternoon slots will open at 7 am and 1.30 pm, respectively.

NEET PG 2024: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will be conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 exam on August 11 in two shifts — first from 9 am to 12:30 am and the next from 3:30 pm to 7 pm.

The candidates who have applied for the test can download their admit cards from the official NBEMS website – nbe.edu.in. The NEET PG admit card containing the two pages must be printed in colour on a single A4 size white paper (back to back).

The test will be conducted in the computer based test (CBT) with a mandatory time-bound section exam pattern, which means everyone will have equal time for each section all over the country.

Candidates will be allowed to take with them only the printed copy of the admit card, a valid government photo id in original and the photocopy of permanent or provisional SMC, MCI or NMC registration. 

The NEET PG test city was informed to the candidates on July 29 through their registered emails and the admit card was released on the NBEMS website on August 8.

NEET PG 2024: Exam day guidelines

1. Candidates will have to reach the exam centre well in advance. For the first slot, applicants will have to reach by 8.30 am and for the second slot, candidates will have to reach by 3 pm. The gates for the morning and afternoon slots will open at 7 am and 1.30 pm, respectively.

2. Use of all electronic devices, including cell phones, pagers, calculators, pen drives, tablets, is prohibited at the exam venue.

3. Candidates are advised to refrain from tattooing their fingers with henna or colours to avoid difficulties in finger biometric-based registration for the test.

NEET PG 2024: Things barred at the exam centre

– Any stationery item including textual material either printed or written, notes, plastic pouch, calculator, pen, writing pad, pen drives, eraser and rough paper

– Any electronic device including mobile phone, Bluetooth and earphones

– All ornaments (including religious items) like bracelets, ring, earrings, nose-pin, chain/necklace, pendants, necklace with pendants, badge, brooch etc

– Other items like wallet, goggles, handbags, belt, cap, gloves

– Any eatable item opened or packed, soft drinks, water bottles etc. Candidates will be provided with a water bottle at exam centre.

– Any other item which could be used for unfair means, for hiding communication devices like wireless or Bluetooth device, spy camera etc

The NEET PG will conducted in 185 test cities across the nation in 500 test centres. Earlier, it was scheduled to be held on March 3 but was  postponed to July 7. It was later advanced to June 23 due to the general election but just 12 hours before the commencement, it was postponed again due to ‘precautionary measures’.
