Mumbai University Admission 2023 Updates: Check college-wise first merit list at mu.ac.in

Commerce and allied courses continue to remain more popular. Dr. Madhav Rajwade, principal of Sathaye College, said, "There is no dip in cut-off of first merit list in comparison to last year, especially in commerce and allied courses where at least 10 students are competing for one seat."

With slight changes, cut-offs in first merit lists of various city colleges remain high for degree admissions.

Principal of H R College, Dr. Pooja Ramchandani, said, "Cut-offs for self-financed professional courses such BMS, BBI, BFM are higher than traditional courses, indicating tougher competition to grab seats in such courses. Students should not go by the popular trends but think about individual interests and abilities."

Hinduja college releases first merit list for all UG courses

• Print-out of duly filled in online pre enrolment form submitted on University Website.
• Duly filled in admission form and Information Form/s.
• Original HSC Marksheet with three attested photo copies.
• One attested photocopy of SSC Marksheet and Passing Certificate.
• Duly filled in Provisional eligibility form (for learners belonging to Divisional Board other than Mumbai/ other state)

In the first merit list released by R A Podar College, the cut-off for BMS is between 96.8% to 69.83% across all categories

For admission to BA programme at Sophia College for women a total of 143 candidates have been shortlisted for general category and 178 in minority category. Apart from these, separate lists have been released for Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir, Chistian and Physically Handicapped categories

Jai Hind College Mumbai has released the first merit list for all UG courses for 2023-24 admissions. For BCom, 523 students have been shortlisted. The cutoff lies between 98.60 to 88 per cent

The second merit list will be released on June 28 at 7 pm. The dates for online verification of documents and payment of fees are June 30 till 3 pm of July 5. The third merit list will be out on July 6 at 11 am. The online verification of documents and payment of fees will be done from July 7 to 10.

HR College has released the first merit list. For admissions to BCom degree, a total of 62 candidates have been selected under general category, and 52 under the Sindhi category. In the general category, the cut-off is between 100 percent to 96 per cent while in Sindhi category its between 95.50 to 85 per cent

The KC college has released the first merit list for all undergraduate courses. In BA, a total of 68 seats have been allotted in general category with cutoff ranging from 98.40 to 87.50 per cent

The Mumbai University has decided to deploy women security guards in all its hostels round the clock. The decision has been taken following the alleged rape and murder of a boarder by a watchman at a girls’ hostel in Mumbai recently.

“We already had women security guards for hostels which are catering to girls. But yet there were a few gaps. But now we have made it mandatory that for both shifts, there has to be a woman security guard on the job,” said Sunil Bhirud, registrar of Mumbai University Read more. 

Mumbai University will release the first undergraduate admissions merit list today, June 19. Once the first merit list is released, the online verification of documents and submission of fees along with undertaking forms can be done from June 20 to 27, till 3 pm.
