MBOSE Meghalaya Board HSSLC 2024: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) on May 24 released the board result 2024. Once released, candidates can check the HSSLC score at the official websites – mbose.in or megresults.nic.in
Meghalaya Board conducted the HSSLC exams 2024 from March 1 to March 27, in a pen and paper format and the result is expected to be released today. As per the MBOSE, the board will announce the Class 12 art steam board result on May 24, during the “office hours”.
This year, 55.80 per cent of students were declared successful. Anuj Chetry of Sherwood School in Tura topped the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination by securing 575 marks. He was followed by Aleytheia Syiemlieh of St Margaret’s Higher Secondary School in Shillong with 574 marks, while Congenial Kharsahnoh of Christian Academy in Shillong secured the third position with 571 marks.
A total of 54,134 students from 679 schools appeared in the examination. Of them, 30,207 or 55.80 per cent of students cleared the examination. Last year, the pass percentage was 51.93, officials said. The results of the Arts stream of the Higher Secondary Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination for class 12 was also declared, and 79.76 per cent of students cleared it.
Menangmankhraw Kharkongor of St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School and Gaurav Bharali of St Edmund’s Higher Secondary School shared the top position with 468 marks, while Tanisha Das and Salseng Marak, both of Don Bosco College Higher Secondary School in Tura, secured the second and third positions by scoring 451 and 450 marks, respectively. In the HSSLC examination, 27,374 students from 251 schools appeared. Of them, 21,833 or 79.76 per cent of students cleared the exams. Last year, the pass percentage was 80.30.

Last year, a total of 25,437 students appeared for HSSLC arts stream exam out of which 20425 cleared the exam, securing a passing percentage of 80.30 per cent. Before that the passing percentage was 81.17 per cent, in which 22711 students appeared for the exam and 18434 students passed.
Also, Eastern West Khasi Hills emerged as the best performing district with 91.64 per cent, and North Garo Hills recorded the lowest pass percentage of 65.15 per cent for HSSLC Arts stream exam 2023. Last year, Larisa Lamin from Adventist Higher Secondary School, Thadlaskein secured the first position in Megahalya board HSSLC exam 2023 with 450 marks out of 500 in arts stream.
