For 2B category, 54,983 boys appeared, passing at 46.95%, while 62,317 girls appeared and passed at 66.37%, making an overall pass percentage of 57.27%. In 3A category, 33,772 boys appeared, passing at a high 71.68%, with 32,870 girls appearing and achieving an impressive 86.47% pass percentage, resulting in an overall 78.97% pass percentage.

Observing results by region for Regular Fresh Students, 3,35,446 candidates from urban areas appeared, out of which 2,24,900 passed, giving a pass percentage of 67.05%. Meanwhile, in rural areas, 4,55,444 candidates appeared for the exam, with 2,98,175 passing, resulting in a pass percentage of 65.47%.

In the 2025 SSLC Examination-1, a total of 8,42,173 candidates appeared across all categories, including Regular Fresh, Private Fresh, Regular Repeaters, and Private Repeaters. Out of these, 5,24,984 candidates passed, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 62.34%.

In 2022, the SSLC total pass percentage was 85.63 per cent, highest pass percentage in the past decade, excluding the 99.99 per cent recorded in 2021 when all the students were declared passed due to the pandemic.

The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) will today announce Class 10 results. The SSLC exams were conducted between March 21 and April 4. Students can check their results available at the official KSEAB websites — kseab.karnataka.gov.in or karresults.nic.in by entering their roll number and date of birth.

In 2023, as many as 8,35,102 students appeared for the SSLC exams, of which 7,00,619 passed, recording a pass percentage of 83.89 per cent.

KSEAB follows a grade-based evaluation system: A+ for 90% and above, A for 80–89%, B+ for 70–79%, B for 60–69%, C+ for 50–59%, and C for 35–49%. These grades are reflected alongside marks in the result sheet.

Apart from the official websites karresults.nic.in and kseab.karnataka.gov.in, students can also check their SSLC-1 scores via SMS or through the DigiLocker app.

To pass the Karnataka SSLC Class 10 exams, students must secure at least 35% in each subject. Additionally, they must score a minimum of 40 out of 150 in theory and 30 out of 50 in practicals. Grace marks may be granted to those falling just short of the cut-off.

Students will be able to access their SSLC-1 marks online at karresults.nic.in starting from 12:30 pm today. To check results, students must enter their registration number and date of birth. Schools will also receive result data to guide students through the next academic steps.

In 2023, around 8.7 lakh students appeared for the SSLC exam, with a pass percentage of approximately 83.89%. The girls performed better than boys over the past year, a trend that many people are expected to continue. This year, around 9 lakh students are considered to be registered for the exam, reflecting the scope and importance of this academic milestone.

For students who do not fulfil the passing criterion, KSEAB offers the opportunity to take the supplementary exam. These exams are usually held in June or July, giving students another chance to improve performance without waiting for the entire academic year.

Once declared, students will be able to view their results on the official websites at karresults.nic.in and kseab.karnataka.gov.in. In order to reach their mark sheet, they must enter the registration number and date of birth. It is recommended to hold a paper copy or screenshot of results for future context.

The qualifying marks for the Karnataka SSLC exam were also reduced from 35 per cent to 25 per cent. In 2024, only 1 student secured 625 marks, compared to 2023, when four students were able to achieve the same score.
