Regarding the confusion and claims made by students, a KEA official clarified that the qualifying examination marks would not have been considered if the candidate has entered the wrong student number during the application process. In the case of CBSE and ICSE students, the candidates are supposed to manually enter the QE marks and not attach the mark sheet as a PDF document. The KEA will also upload a fresh link for candidates to re enter the QE marks today. Post which, the rankings will be announced in the next two days.
Yadgir one of the most backward region in Karnataka has outperformed Bengaluru by securing 88% pass percentage in Engineering. Bengaluru’s pass percentage in engineering stood at 83 %. Confusion at Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) headquarters as parents and students gather there. Some candidates are claiming that did not get their rankings. As per the official announcement, the scorecards for KCET 2023 will be released today. Karnataka’s Minister of Higher Education CN Ashwath Narayan will announce the results via a press conference at 9:30 am.
The exam was conducted on May 20 and 21. The provisional answer key was released on May 26 and candidates were given time to raise objections till May 30.
Nearly 2.6 lakh students registered for the KCET 2023 exam out of which 1.4 lakh were girls and 1.21 lakh were boys. The exam was conducted at 592 centres across the state. Out of the 592 centres, 121 centres were located in Bengaluru.

Candidates whose RD numbers mismatch would not be eligible to claim seats for professional courses under the reservation quota.
