JNV Class 6 Admission 2024: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) is inviting applications for admission to Class 6 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV). The registration window is open till August 10. Guardians and parents of interested and eligible candidates can apply at the official website of NVS— navodaya.gov.in.

The selection test will be conducted on November 4 at 11:30 am for union territory of Jammu and Kashmir (except Jammu-I, Jammu-II, Samba and Udhampur), Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and districts of Dibang valley and Tawang of Arunachal Pradesh, in districts of Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmour, Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti and Shimla of Himachal Pradesh, in the district of Darjeeling of West Bengal, and Leh and Kargil districts of UT Ladakh.

In remaining places, the selection test will be conducted on January 20, 2024 at 11:30 am. There is no registration fee for admission.

JNV Class 6 Admission 2024: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official website— navodaya.gov.in

Step 2: Click on the registration link given on the homepage

Step 3: Enter your basic details such as if the student is studying in Class 5, have they applied earlier or not among others

Step 4: Once registered, fill the application form, upload the necessary documents

Step 5: Save and submit the application form

Step 6: Download the application form for future reference

Candidates who already appeared for JNV Selection Test (JNVST) cannot appear for the test. Students who have already passed or studied in Class 5 prior to the academic year 2023-24 cannot apply. The candidate should have been born after May 1, 2012 and before July 31, 2014 (both dates inclusive). This is applicable to students of all categories.

“At least 75 per cent of the seats in a district will be filled by candidates provisionally selected from rural areas of the district. The remaining seats are open which will be filled on merit from both Urban and Rural Area candidates of the district as per criteria,” read the information brochure. There are a total of 649 JNVs across 27 states and 8 union territories.
