The CBSE has extended the date of online submission of the application for JEE (Main-2016) from December 31, 2015 to January 11, 2016. The Joint Entrance Exam Main 2016 is scheduled to be conducted on April 3, 2016 (offline) and April 9 and 10, 2016 (online). Earlier only two attempts were allowed to clear the exam but now students can attempt thrice times. The registration for JEE Main 2016 began on December 1. A detailed information brochure is available at the official website. JEE is the gateway to a majority of engineering colleges in India. The examination is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). JEE is conducted for admission in various engineering colleges including IITs, NITs, IIITs and other state colleges. Eligibility: Students should have passed Class 12 in the year 2014 or 2015. Also, those candidates who are appearing for their Class 12 or equivalent exam in the upcoming 2016 session are also eligible to apply.
