JEE Main 2025 Session 2 from April 2 to 8, schedule out at jeemain.nta.nic.in

JEE Main Session 2 Exam Schedule: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the schedule for JEE Main session 2. The exams will start be held from April 2 to 9. Earlier JEE Main session 2 was scheduled to begin between April 1 and April 8.

NTA will conduct the JEE Main in various cities across the country with 15 abroad destinations. Students can download the examination schedule from the official website– jeemain.nta.nic.in.

April 2, 3, 4, 7: Paper 1 that is BE and BTech courses. During these days, there will be two shifts. The morning shift will begin from 9 am to noon and the second shift from 3 pm to 6 pm.

April 8: Exam in this shift will be conducted in second shift only that is from 3 pm to 6 pm. 

April 9: Paper 2 will be held on this date in a single morning shift.

In the JEE Main session one, out of the 13,11,544 candidates registering for JEE Main 2025 paper 1 exam, as many as 12,58,136 (95.93 per cent) candidates appeared. 12 questions were dropped by the Agency in the session one with the final answer key released on the afternoon of February 10.

The session one examination was held in 13 languages including Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. The NTA did not declare the JEE Main 2025 session one scores of 39 candidates as those candidates were found indulging in Unfair Means practices

In the session one,  there is just one female topper from Andhra Pradesh Sai Manogna Guthikonda. The NTA has not declared the percentiles of 39 candidates as they were found indulging in Unfair Means practices. Most toppers are from Rajasthan.

In the ST category, Parth Sehra from Rajasthan has topped, while in PwBD category, Harshal Gupta from Chhattisgarh has topped the JEE Main exam. In the OBC NCL category, Daksh from Delhi has topped, while in SC category, Shreyas Lohiya from Uttar Pradesh has topped the JEE Main exam.

A total of 13,11,544 candidates registered for Paper 1 (B.E./B. Tech.) across different categories and genders. Among them, 4,43,622 were female candidates, with 1,67,790 from the General category, 45,627 from EWS, 42,704 from SC, 13,833 from ST, and 1,73,668 from OBC.

Successful candidates will secure admission into NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and other participating institutes through JoSAA counselling. Additionally, the top 2.5 lakh qualified candidates of JEE Main 2025 will have the opportunity to appear in JEE Advanced 2025.
