JEE Main 2025 Results: NTA 100 percentile-holder Daksh aims to explore pure mathematics

“It was a shock but a pleasant one!” This is how Daksh, the 17-year-old from Delhi who scored a 100 NTA score in the Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE Main) 2025, describes his feeling after getting his results, in an interview with indianexpress.com.
“I am extremely satisfied with my result, but I did not expect to obtain 100 percentile,” says Daksh after his successful first attempt at JEE Main 2025.
Opening up about his study routine, Daksh says, a typical day began with relaxation, followed by revision and attending classes at his coaching institute, Vidya Mandir Classes. After classes, he says, he studied for several hours, focusing on workbooks, previous year questions and mock tests.
“I believe coaching is beneficial for achieving a good score in JEE,” emphasises Daksh, saying that teachers kept him motivated and provided constant guidance.
During the JEE Main 2025 January session exam, he says, he attempted the easier questions first in the order of physics, chemistry and then maths. This, he says, allowed him to build momentum and tackle harder questions later.

“After finishing most of the paper, I would do a short revision of the question and attempt the remaining 4-5 hard/ambiguous questions,” he explains.
Daksh stays with his mother and grandmother in Delhi. His father, a businessman who frequently travels, also keeps a close watch on his studies, he says. He studied at Rosary Senior Secondary School in Class 10 and scored approximately 98 per cent marks, he adds.

“November is the ideal time to start giving full syllabus tests as then we have enough time to get familiar with the pattern and train our mind to perform well in the actual exam as well,” he says.
Asked about his future, Daksh says he would love to explore pure mathematics and aims to pursue a degree in Mathematics and Computing or Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi).
