The dropped questions can lead to an addition to marks for JEE Main 2023, Session 2 candidates. The NTA has clarified that full marks will be given to candidates who appeared in the exam on a specific date. “For section A, if a question is dropped then full marks will be awarded to all candidates who have appeared, irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate,” NTA states in an official document.

This same process will be followed in cases where none of the options are found correct, or a question is found to be wrong.

For section B, “If a question is found to be incorrect or the question is dropped then four marks (+4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question. The reason could be due to human error or technical error,” the NTA stated.

In the first session (January), too, the NTA dropped five questions in the final provisional answer key. There was one question which had different answers for English and Hindi papers. Except for one question, all the questions that were dropped were from Mathematics.

NTA will soon declare the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023, session 2 exam result. Once released, students cam check their score cards at the official website — jeemain.nta.nic.in.
