JEE Advanced 2024 Answer Key Updates: Last date to raise objections today

The JEE Advanced 2024 answer key objection window will close today. Candidates can share feedback and comments on the provisional JEE Advanced answer key by 5 pm today.

Yes, one mark will be deducted for marking wrong answers

While full three marks will be awarded only if the correct option is chosen, no marks will be awarded if none of the options are chosen.

According to the JEE Advanced 2024 making scheme for paper 1 and paper, there will be negative markings for wrong answers marked for some questions.

Step 4: Raise grievances against the answer key
Step 5: Upload supporting documents, pay the fee

IIT Madras today released the JEE Advanced 2024 answer key. Candidates who appeared for the engineering entrance exam can download the answer keys for papers 1 and 2 by visiting the official website — jeeadv.ac.in.

It was on May 26 when the institute conducted the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced 2024 in two shifts.

Students who appeared can check, download and object through the official website — jeeadv.ac.in, once it is released.

The JEE Advanced 2024 answer key will be released at the jeeadv.ac.in website on June 2. Candidates will also be allowed to share feedback on the provisional answer key.

The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) on April 1 has announced several reforms in its UG programmes for sessions starting from the academic year 2024-25. The reforms are in line with the National Educational Policy (NEP 2020), IIT Kharagpur said. 

From the academic year 2024-25, admission to all UG programmes will be for five-year – BTech and BS levels only. The students will be able to opt for the five-year dual degree programmes after the second or third year of their study. 

Number of common candidates registered in both sessions (January/April) of the JEE Main 2024 examination were 924636, and number of common candidates who appeared in both sessions (January/April) were 822899.

Total number of candidates registered in January 2024 (session 1) examination were 1221624, of which 1170048 candidates appeared. A total of 1179569 registered in April 2024 (session 2), out of which 1067959 candidates appeared for the exams.

Total number of unique candidates registered in both sessions (January/April) of the JEE main 2024 were 1476557, of which 1415110 appeared for the exams.

This time, 1067959 out of 1179569 appeared for the session 2 exams, out of which 377921 were general students, 134465 were general EWS, 416440  were OBC-NCL, 103422 were SC and 35711 were ST candidates.

SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) is a university-level entrance exam for admission to various BTech, MTech and BSc programmes across different campuses of SRM Institute of Science and Technology. Official website — srmist.edu.in

They must have a minimum score of 60 per cent in Class 10. They must have a minimum score of 60 per cent in 12th. Candidates who are residents of India can apply for registration. Non-residents of India (NRI) must have a PIO or OCI card issued by the government of India to be eligible for the SRMJEEE exam.

The last date to register for the SRMJEEE phase 2 exam is June 15, 2024. Candidates have to fill out separate application forms for each phase. 

The Joint Admission Counselling (JAC) Delhi has started the registration for admission to engineering and architectural programmes. The official website is jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in.

NIT Delhi ranked 51 under the engineering category which is higher when compared to 2022. In 2022, NIT Delhi achieved a 194 score. 

The number of registered students of BTech CSE of IIT Guwahati has gone up from 84 to 108 in the previous five years. Similarly, that for IIT Madras has gone up from 108 in 2017-18 to 159 in 2021-22. For IIT Guwahati, in the 2022-2023 academic year, a total of 108 students registered, out of which 104 students (96.30 per cent) have been placed.

1. Merit cum Means Scholarship: Students receive a full tuition waiver and a pocket allowance of Rs 1,000 per month for the duration of the programme. The recipients must maintain a minimum CPI of 6.5. However, if CPI falls below 6.5 (but remains above 6.0) then pocket allowance is withdrawn. A student must only submit their parental income certificate to apply for this scholarship. This scholarship can be availed by those who are other than category (SC/ST) students with annual parental income of less than Rs 4,50,000.

2. INSPIRE Scholarship: Students receive an annual scholarship of Rs 30,000 per semester (Rs 60,000 annually), along with a research grant of Rs 20,000. Students of BS programmes within the ALL INDIA RANK (AIR) 10,000 as per Common Merit LIST (CML) in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics departments are eligible for this scholarship. Students must submit an undertaking for not getting any other scholarship to the SSPC every semester to apply for this scholarship. This is a merit-based scholarship; hence, the recipients must maintain a minimum CPI of 6.0.

3. Free-Basic-Mess Scholarship: This scholarship can be availed by those who are category (SC/ST) students with annual parental income less than Rs 4,50,000. Under this, students receive a free basic mess bill and a pocket allowance.

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) Abu Dhabi campus will start a new Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme for the 2024-25 academic year -- BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, and BTech in Energy Engineering.

These programmes will help students tackle energy challenges, shape the future digital age, and develop software to enhance a range of industries, from analytics to finance, and cryptography to information technology.

If a question is dropped from the JEE Advanced 2024 question paper, full marks for that questions will be awarded to all candidates irrespective of the fact that they have attempted the questions or not.
