Question: If I avail the services of SCRIBE (Amanuensis), would it have any influence in my JEE Advanced 2024 ranking and further seat allocations process?
Answer: Availing the services of SCRIBE (Amanuensis), will not influence JEE Advanced 2024 ranking and further seat allocations process. However, if it is found at any stage that a candidate has used the services of a scribe but does not possess the extent of disability, and /or does not have difficulty in writing that warrants the use of a scribe, she/he will be excluded from the process of evaluation, ranking and admission. In case such a candidate has already been admitted to any IIT, candidate’s admission will be cancelled.

IIT BHU Varanasi offers a four-year BTech Ceramic Engineering programme to educate and train students in the discipline of Ceramic and Glass science and technology. IIT BHU also delivers another course in Ceramic Engineering such as an Integrated Dual Degree (five-year BTech + MTech in Ceramics Engineering).

The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM) and IIT Guwahati are both known for their engineering programmes. In the recent National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Engineering 2024, IIT Madras was rated as the best Indian institute in the engineering category, while IIT Guwahati was at the seventh rank.

JEE Advanced 2024 is set to be held on May 26. The exam will be held for paper 1 and paper 2.

While one has reasons to feel elated after securing admission to a BTech program in an IIT, it is not uncommon to see some students turning unhappy and frustrated very soon. Tanishka Kabra from the IIT-Delhi zone emerged as the topper among women in the JEE Advanced 2022. Kabra, an 18-year-old, scored 277 marks out of 360 to secure Rank 16.

She wanted to join the Computer Science programme at IIT-Bombay since she has ‘”decent exposure to coding languages in Class 10″ which peaked her interest in the subject. “Though my parents were more comfortable with me pursuing medicine as my sister is also studying MBBS, I was more comfortable with Maths than Biology. So, choosing engineering was entirely my decision,” she adds. Her elder sister will soon complete her MBBS from BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad.

Supernumerary seats have been created for female candidates. These supernumerary seats will be offered:

(a) to only those female candidates (Indian nationals and OCI/PIO candidates who have secured the OCI/PIO card before 04.03.2021) who are declared qualified in JEE (Advanced) 2024, and,

(b) strictly based on the performance in JEE (Advanced) 2024.

The number of supernumerary seats in various programs will be decided by individual IITs ensuring that every institute has at least 20% female enrolment in undergraduate program(s). The detailed procedure for implementation of the above shall be set out in the Business Rules of JoSAA 2024

The JEE Advanced 2024 will be conducted on May 26, 2024. The paper timings are-

Paper 1: 09:00-12:00 IST
Paper 2: 14:30-17:30 IST

Candidates will need to key in their registration number, password, and registered mobile number to login and download their hall tickets.

Step 1: Go to jeeadv.ac.in

Step 2: Tap the “Admit Card” link.

Step 3: Candidate portal for JEE Advanced 2022 will be displayed on the screen.

Step 4: Enter your credentials such as registration number, date of birth and mobile number.

Step 5: Tap “Login”.

Step 6: JEE advanced admit card 2022 will be displayed on the screen.

Step 7: Download the admit card and take a printout for future references.
