After clearing the Phase I written examination, shortlisted candidates will move on to Phase II of the recruitment process. This stage includes several key assessments: the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), which requires candidates to complete a 1.6 km run along with push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups; the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), where height, weight, and chest measurements are recorded; and a comprehensive medical examination to evaluate overall health.
Candidates will also undergo document verification to confirm educational qualifications, age, identity, and category certificates. In some cases, an adaptability test is conducted to assess psychological readiness. The final merit list will be compiled based on performance across all phases and the number of available vacancies.
This examination is part of the larger Agniveer recruitment 2025 cycle, which began on March 12, and is aimed at filling approximately 25,000 posts in the Indian Army, according to media reports.
The recruitment includes positions for male candidates across different categories and also has a dedicated Women Military Police category for eligible female candidates from Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh. Admit cards for the written exam were issued on June 16.
