The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar) is inviting applications for the summer internship programmes. Summer internships at IIT Ropar are available in different departments of the institute. Candidates can apply separately for internships at different departments at iitrpr.ac.in. The last date to register for the internship is March 24. While registering for the offline internship, candidates will have to choose the department they intend to do it. The summer internship programme at IIT Ropar will be held for five to eight weeks starting on May 15 to July 15. The candidates must select a research supervisor in their relevant field of study/ course. Although the candidates have an option in the application form to select at most three research supervisors, the candidates are required to do their internship in one department under one supervisor only. IIT Ropar summer internship: Departments Students will have the option to select the departments in which they intend to do the internship. The departments where summer internship opportunities are available are: – Biomedical Engineering – Center for Applied Research in Data Sciences – Chemical Engineering – Chemistry – Civil Engineering – Computer Science and Engineering – Electrical Engineering – Humanities and Social Sciences – Mathematics – Mechanical Engineering – Metallurgical & Materials Engineering – Physics The respective department of IIT Ropar will prepare the selection criteria and merit list depending on the requirement of the number of interns. Hostel accommodation on sharing basis will be provided subject to availability on a chargeable basis to the internees. The application for accommodation after being selected for internship will have to be given to the office of dean of student affairs through the faculty supervisor and the HOD for permission. The student must pay the cost of food and access to other amenities. No financial assistance will be provided to the candidates.
