IIT Madras to offer free of cost ‘out of box thinking’ Mathematics course

The Level 1 and Level 2 courses attracted a total of 1.42 lakh students when they were launched last year. The last date for registering for level 3 and level 4 is May 7, 2023. Register through the website - pravartak.org.in/oobtregistration_math

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras will launch ‘out of the box thinking’ Mathematics course in level 3 and 4. These courses are free of cost and are being offered in the online mode only under IIT-M Pravartak Technologies Foundation.

Last date for registering for level 3 and level 4 is May 7, 2023 and can register through the website – pravartak.org.in/oobtregistration_math

For these, the final exam will be conducted at the examination centres and will be proctored. The course is available in India, as well as foreign countries. The students who take the examination will also be provided a grade certificate by Pravartak.

Prof V. Kamakoti, Director of IIT Madras, said, “The Levels 1 and 2 of the ‘Out of the Box Thinking’ course, which is first-of-its-kind in India, were well-received by students across India. This course is being offered free of cost. This course will greatly benefit School and College students, especially those residing in rural India. Thinking differently is crucial for innovation leading to entrepreneurship. Training the young mind to think differently, will in the long run yield creative youth for our nation.”

Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) was established in 1959 by the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance. IIT Madras has 16 academic departments and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in BTech, MBA, MTech and PhD.
