IIT Hyderabad scholarships for UG, PG students

IIT Hyderabad provides multiple scholarships to the deserving students doing their BTech, MTech and PhD programmes.

IIT Hyderabad scholarships: Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT H) provides scholarships to worthy and deserving students every year. Some scholarships are in the form of college fee concessions and some others come as direct benefit transfers to the students’ bank accounts.

List of Scholarships and Eligibility

Institute Scholarships

1) Merit- cum- Means (MCM)

– GEN / GEN-EWS / OBC category students can apply

– Parental Gross Income shall not exceed Rs 4,50,000 for any category.

– Income Tax Return (ITR) with acknowledgment from the IT Department has to be submitted as Income Proof of Parents (Father and Mother or Guardian, if any).

– The number of students to be awarded the MCM scholarship will be limited to 25 per cent of the Class Strength.

– The student should secure a SGPA / CGPA of 7.0 and above with no active backlogs (Fail Grade) in any type of course (Including Additional courses).

– The shortlisted students are eligible for pocket money of Rs 1,000 per month.

– Students should avail of only a single scholarship/stipend/financial aid, only from a single stakeholder for a given period i.e. Students cannot avail of multiple scholarships/financial assistance from multiple stakeholders (Govt./Private/any external agencies) for the same academic year.

2) ST / SC Scholarship

– Students belonging to the SC/ST category can apply.

– Parental Gross Income shall not exceed Rs 4,50,000 for any category.

– Income Tax Return (ITR) with Acknowledgement from the IT Department has to be submitted as income proof of parents (father and mother or guardian, if any).

– There is no ceiling on the award of SC/ST scholarship subject to fulfilling the required criteria.

– The student should secure a SGPA/CGPA of 7.0 and above with no active backlogs (Fail Grade) in any type of course (Including Additional courses).

– The shortlisted students are eligible for Pocket Money of Rs 250 per month and are eligible for a refund of the license fee and dining charges at actuals and as per the eligibility.

– Students should avail of only a single scholarship/stipend/financial aid, only from a single stakeholder for a given period i.e. students cannot avail of multiple scholarships or financial assistance from multiple stakeholders (Govt./Private/any external agencies) for the same academic year.
