CUET UG: The Central University of Gujarat is one of the 44 central universities that is enrolling students on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The university is offering three programmes under CUET UG 2023 — German Studies BA (Hons), Chinese BA (Hons) and five-years integrated/ dual degree B.A.-M.A. in Social Management. It recently released the fifth merit list for admission to four-year BA (Hons with research in Chinese and four-year BA (Hons with research) in social management.

Facilities

The university has limited hostel accommodation for men and women, it is on a first come first allotted basis. The fees are stipulated as per norms of the university. It also has its own AC bus which is available for students and staff members.

The university also has an initiative called ‘earn while you learn’. It is a unique scheme in the university for aiding students at UG and PG level who do not receive fellowships. It is particularly meant for students who come from financially and socially disadvantaged sections of the society. Students are assigned duties in the University Cyber Library after class hours. The university aims to increase the scope of this scheme to include other universities’ duties as well. Central University of Gujarat aims to start a means-cum-merit scholarship for UG and PG students soon. The university has welfare schemes for SC, ST, minority and girl students, which are notified and implemented by the government and UGC.

The university has other facilities such as a central library, central instrumentation facility, healthcare facilities and more.

About the university

The Central University of Gujarat was established by the Parliament through Central Universities Act (2009). The campus is located at Sector 29, Gandhinagar.
