CUET UG Answer Key 2023: Candidates can raise objection till July 1

The National Testing Agency has published the question papers with recorded response sheets for candidates to raise challenges. The last date to raise challenge is July 1 till 11:50 pm, while the last date to make payment is 11:30 pm of July 1.

The Banaras Hindu University received the second highest number of applications last year. In the debut year of CUET UG, the university received over 4.34 lakh applications. This year, the college is offering 22 courses under CUET UG. BHU has five institutes which include science and medical science, and 16 faculties including the faculty of Arts, Law, Education, Commerce and more. BHU also has 135 departments. Candidates can raise objections to answer key till 11:30 pm of July 1. The question papers with recorded responses will be available from today evening at the official website- cuet.samarth.ac.in. For each question challenged, candidates have to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per question. The challenges will then be reviewed by a panel of experts. If any answer is found to be correct then the answer key will be revised. Results will be based on final answer key.

Now, since 155 questions have been dropped, the National Testing Agency will award full marks to all the students who attempted those questions i.e, all students who attempted those questions will get .( )5 marks.

The NTA has dropped a total of 155 questions from the provisional answer key. The exams were conducted in nine phases from May 21 to June 23.

The National Testing Agency has released the provisional answer key for Common University Entrance Test 2023. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their the same on the official website- cuet.samarth.ac.in or nta.ac.in.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023 answer key is still not up on the website. UGC Chief M Jagadesh Kumar yesterday tweeted that the provisional answer key has been released, however, it hasn't been uploaded on the website yet.

This time, there has been a significant increase from the number of candidates from Jammu and Kashmir. In 2022, a total of 13,021 students took CUET UG, which increased to 82,655 this time. There has also been a considerable jump in the number applicants from North-Eastern region (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim) from 59,208 in 2022 to 77,365 in 2023 — an increase of 31 per cent. Read more here

University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, University of Allahabad, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University and Jamia Millia Islamia have received the highest number of applications.

A similar trend from last year is the states which have received the highest number of registrations. Like 2022, the top three states with the largest number of applications are Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Bihar. Among the five Southern states (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana), the highest number of applications were received from Kerala. Candidates who appeared for CUET UG 2023 exam are claiming that the answer key is not available for them at the official CUET website.

Let’s have a look at the documents required during registration at the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal.

— Class 10 certificate including the name, date of birth and parents’ names of the candidates.

— Class 12 marksheet with the candidate’s name. The name should match with that on the CUET UG 2023 application form.

— Category certificate (SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, Minority, CW, KM, PwBD) in the name of the candidate issued by the competent issuing authority. The name of the candidate on the certificate should match with that on their corresponding school board qualifying certificate and CUET UG 2023 application form. The parents’ names should also match in both sets of certificates.

— OBC-NCL (Other Backward Classes- Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued in the name of the candidate by a competent authority and wherein the caste is in the OBC Central List issued by ncbc.nic.in. The name of the candidate must match with their school board qualifying certificate and CUET UG 2023 application form. The same rule will apply to the names of parents. The income certificate must be issued after March 31, 2023. The format of the OBC-NCL is in the information brochure of CSAS.

— Similarly, in the EWS certificate, the name of the candidate and their parents must match with that on the school board qualifying certificate. The income certificate must be issued after March 31, 2023. The format of the certificate is available in the information brochure.

— Candidates claiming admission through ECA/Sports supernumerary quota must upload self-attested copies of the requisite certificates and produce relevant required certificates when sought.

— In order to apply for BSc Physical Education, Health Education and Sports, candidates have to upload— medical fitness certificate (as per the format given in the information brochure), up to three sports proficiency certificates.

— Candidates who haven’t studied Music as a subject in Class 12 and wish to apply for BA (Hons) Music will have to upload a certificate as mentioned in Chapter 20 of the information brochure.

— The PwBD certificate issued in the name of the candidate should be by a recognised government hospital, bearing the photograph of the candidate (format is available in the information brochure). Disability certificates issued after June 1, 2021 shall be as per Gazette Notification number 1736 (E) and disability certificates issued before June 1, 2021 shall be as per other existing applicable rules and notifications of the Department Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and University of Delhi.

— Candidates applying under the CW (Children/Widows of Personnel of the Armed Forces) category have to upload the Educational Concession Certificate (ECC) in the name of the candidate in the format where the priority is clearly indicated

— Candidates applying under the KM (Kashmiri Migrant) category have to upload the relevant certification in the 56 correct format issued by Divisional Commissioner/ Relief Commissioner.

— Candidates belonging to Sikh and Christian Minority categories have to produce the certificate of minority at the time of admission including details of their minority status issued by any government organisation/ local municipality/ panchayat/ education board/ school leaving certificate, etc., or as applicable, issued by the DSGMC/DMC or Baptism Certificate and/or Church membership certificate.

— Candidates seeking admission under orphans quota will have to upload the death certificates of both parents or a certificate indicating they are orphans from a government recognised orphanage/ charitable home

— Candidates seeking admission under UoD (University of Delhi) ward supernumerary quota must upload a valid employment certificate of their parent(s) issued by due officials. Only the employment certificate uploaded in CSAS (UG) 2023 application form will be considered; other identity cards will not be accepted.

The National Testing Agency is yet to upload the provisional answer key for Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023. Once released, candidates will be able to check the answer key by logging in using their application number and date of birth.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023 website is down. Some time ago, the UGC chief announced that the provisional answer key has been released.

As per the tweet of UGC chief, CUET UG 2023 was conducted in nine phases in 387 cities across the country and 24 cities abroad for nearly 14.9 lakh candidates.

UGC chairperson, M Jagadesh Kumar has tweeted that the provisional answer key has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates can raise challenge to the answer key by paying a fee of ? 200/- per question challenged as a non-refundable processing fee. Objections raised by the candidates will be verified by the panel of subject experts. If the challenge of any candidate is found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly. BR Ambedkar University has received over 4.72 lakh applications for admission to undergraduate programmes. The application window opened on June 16 and will close on July 16. There are a total of 1,123 undergrauate seats for 18 programmes. The admissions will done on the basis of the CUET UG 2023 score.

In section 1A, candidates had the option to choose one language from 13 languages— English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Section 1B had 20 languages— Arabic, Bodo, Chinese, Dogri, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri, Nepali, Persian, Russian, Santhali, Sindhi, Spanish, Tibetan, and Sanskrit

Section 2 had 27 domain subjects and section 3 is general test.
