In a meeting with the Agriculture Minister and department officials, the CM said that accountability should be fixed, and the guilty will face action irrespective of their position if the government receives any information about irregularities.
He further said the activities of field-level officers will be monitored, and an open vigilance inquiry will be conducted if collusion or negligence is found at any level.
In another meeting, he directed the ministers of key departments to conduct monthly reviews of works in order to achieve the goal of making Uttar Pradesh a $1 trillion economy.
During a meeting with Cabinet ministers and top officers of key departments, the CM also instructed that the Chief Secretary conduct fortnightly reviews, additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries and heads of departments weekly reviews for the same.
Taking stock of the status of budget allocations and expenditure of various departments for the financial year 2025–26, he emphasised quality review of “identified points” and timely completion of all works, along with time-bound disposal of files by officials concerned.
The Chief Minister was informed that UP’s gross state domestic product (GSDP) stood at Rs 29.78 lakh crore and that the state’s contribution to the national economy in 2024–25 increased to 9 percent, up from 8.6 percent in 2022–23. It was also stated that 93 percent of the GSDP target has already been achieved and efforts are underway to reach the target of Rs 42 lakh crore.

Adityanath instructed that real-time data of departmental works be uploaded promptly and the data collection process be expedited further.
The ministers and officers were asked to maintain continuous coordination with Central government officials to ensure the timely receipt of the central share and the budget allocations be spent on time. The Planning Department should establish a robust mechanism to collect data from all departments on a weekly basis, he said.
“UP contributes 21 percent of the country’s total foodgrain production. Ensuring foodgrain and nutritional security while increasing farmers’ income through an effective agricultural strategy is the government’s objective. The state’s agricultural growth rate remains above 13 percent and work on seed parks and the UP Agri-Edge project should be expedited,” he said.
The CM added that road safety is the government’s top priority and concrete efforts should be made to reduce road accidents in view of fog.

The Transport Department should hold a comprehensive review meeting, rationalise registration fees for commercial vehicles and enhance quality bus services for convenient public travel, he said.
He further said that Uttar Pradesh has witnessed a record influx of tourists in recent years. By June this year, around 125 crore tourists visited the state, it was informed.
Claiming that Garhmukteshwar was a major pilgrimage centre in western Uttar Pradesh, he ordered upgrade of facilities for devotees and tourists there.
He also called for effective implementation of the homestay policy, promotion of the hotel industry and developing tourist destination plans.

District-wise targets will be set under the Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage Scheme, he said, adding that the setting up of digital libraries at the gram panchayat level be expedited and high-quality computers be provided.
The CM was informed that in the power sector, reduction in electricity theft and technical losses has improved the performance of state power corporations.
In the industrial sector, the addition of 7,000 new factories under the ASI framework has accelerated economic activity in private and semi-private companies, it was said.
Increased registration of companies and factories under MCA has further strengthened industrial development, it was claimed. In the education sector, it was reported that salary adjustments for teachers and staff of government-aided schools have resulted in an additional increase of approximately Rs 0.60 lakh crore in the sector’s GSVA.

Adityanath said that the agriculture and cooperation ministers will review fertiliser availability and distribution on a daily basis while the Chief Minister’s Office will directly monitor the situation in all districts.
He directed the district magistrates, additional district magistrates and sub-divisional magistrates to conduct surprise inspections of fertiliser shops and cooperative societies.
