Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has initiated the online application process for admission to its undergraduate (UG) and Certificate of Proficiency (COP) programs for the 2025-26 academic session, following the announcement of the CUET-UG 2025 results.
As per the official notification, the deadline to apply is 11:50 pm on July 15. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the university’s admission portal — jnuee.jnu.ac.in — by logging in with their CUET-UG 2025 application number and date of birth.
The university has made it clear that only candidates who appeared for CUET-UG 2025 are eligible to apply for these programmes.
Applicants can refer to JNU’s e-prospectus for comprehensive details on the admission process, eligibility criteria, and seat matrix, available on both the admission portal and the main website http://www.jnu.ac.in.
JNU has urged candidates to thoroughly review the eligibility conditions and admission guidelines before applying and to keep checking the official website for updates.
Meanwhile, the members of the elected student union at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) entered the 12th day of their hunger strike on Tuesday, demanding automatic extension of hostel accommodation for research scholars who have been granted academic extensions to complete their PhDs.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) has firmly opposed an undertaking introduced by the university administration, which requires students to sign a declaration in order to retain hostel access beyond their initial PhD deadlines.
This year, a totoal of 13,54,699 applicants registered for the exam. Of them, 6,47,934 students were female, while 7,06,760 were male candidates and five were third gender. Of the total candidates registering, as many as 10,71,735 appeared — 5,23,988 female candidates, 5,47,744 male candidates and three third-gender candidates.
