CUET UG 2024: This top scorer wants to pursue BCom (Hons) from SRCC, aims to be a portfolio manager
The topper aims to become a portfolio manager in future. While speaking to the indianexpress.com, she told that she would work towards getting the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certificate alongside her undergraduate degree.

CUET UG 2024: This CUET topper wants to become a portfolio manager
Tanvi Bansal scored 200/200 marks each in English, accountancy/ book keeping, business studies and economics/ business economics in the recently declared Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024 results. In addition to English, accountancy/ book keeping, business studies and economics/ business economics, she also appeared for mathematics/ applied mathematics and general test.
Born and brought up in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, this 18-year-old girl completed her schooling at Amity International School. She appeared for Class 10 exams in 2022 and scored 99.2 per cent. In Class 12, she got 98 per cent.
“I did not expect full marks in all the four subjects, except accountancy/ bookkeeping and business studies because these papers went well,” she said. “The English paper, particularly this year, was a bit difficult,” Tanvi said. She also found the economics paper more challenging.

“The questions were based on concepts, unlike previous years, which were entirely based on direct NCERT textbooks,” she said. She added that the questions in all the CUET papers she appeared in were very conceptual this year.
When asked how candidates should deal with difficult questions, the top scorer said that the National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the CUET UG, provides internal choice in the question paper.
“We are required to answer 40 questions out of a total of 50 questions. I only attempted those questions which I was very sure about,” Tanvi said.
Interestingly, both parents of Tanvi are Chartered Accountants (CAs). She is now aiming for Economics (Hons) at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), DU.

Tanvi was enrolled in a coaching programme for CUET UG. She also bought some multiple choice question (MCQ) books.
