Akshaye Khanna’s portrayal of Rehman Dakait in Dhurandhar has impressed many, with fans obsessing over his intense look and performance. However, his co-star R Madhavan, who plays a pivotal role in the film, recently shared a meme comparing his performance with Akshaye’s, subtly suggesting that his work was overlooked amid the overwhelming praise for the Chhaava star.

The meme is from a scene from the film Ford v Ferrari and shows Madhavan standing on the sidelines as Akshaye receives all the love and adoration from the crowd. As Madhavan looks up, a character tips his hat to show him respect, while the words ‘True cinephile’ and ‘remarkable transformation on screen’ appear on the screen, highlighting Madhavan’s understated yet powerful performance.

Fans praised Madhavan’s performance in the comments section. One fan wrote, “He acted so well that people don’t even realised that he was R. Madhavan.” Another fan commented, “He will get his due in the second part. Hopefully Rakesh Bedi too.”

On the other hand, Ameesha Patel lauded Akshaye Khanna’s performance in Dhurandhar. Ameesha and Akshaye have previously worked together in the 2006 film Mere Jeevan Saathi. She wrote, “If u want to trend on social media then talk about AKHSAY KHANNA 😜I’f u want ur film to run then let’s take AKSHAY KHANNA 😜.. .. seems like Brand AKSHAY has finally opened the eyes of all who were blind for so many Years and all seem to suddenly find their long lost love for him👍proud of u Akshu for slapping all with ur performances n not PR.”

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has emerged as the second highest-grossing film of the year after Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava. The film has crossed the Rs 550 crore mark at the box office. It also stars Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in pivotal roles.
