Provisional answer keys soon

As the CUET UG for the 2024 session is over, candidates can expect provisional answer keys soon next month.

These challenges will be shown to the concerned subject experts. Based on their feedback and after incorporating the changes, the final answer keys will be prepared which will then be used in preparing the results of CUET (UG) – 2024.

“The NTA has also made special arrangements to accommodate a single candidate residing in Germany by facilitating her to appear for the CUET (UG) – 2024 with the support of the Consulate General of India, Frankfurt, Germany for the test papers (Chemistry – 306, Biology – 304, English – 101, and General Test 501).” read another statement from NTA’s notification.

How CUET UG was conducted?

The Agency in its release also mentioned that the examination for all shifts either in offline (OMR-based) mode or CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode was conducted ‘very successfully and smoothly’. However, as per reports, students had to face some technical issues.

Change in exam centre in Assam after state’s education minister letter

Meanwhile, After Ranoj Pegu, the Education minister of Assam’s letter to the National Testing Agency (NTA) about providing Examination Centres for CUET in Barak Valley, the NTA revised the assigned centres for select students of Assam.

Pegu claimed that there was only one exam centre for the CUET exam at Silchar, which was causing problems for students of his state as they had to travel to far-off places for the Common University Eligibility Test, Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024 exam.

Last minute cancellation of exam

One day before the exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) postponed the CUET UG exams for students who have opted for centres in Delhi. While the exam conducting body informed the reason for the postponement was ‘unavailability of invigilators, the students and parents — affected by this announcement — were angry over the “last minute changes”.

NTA denies paper leak

“In one of the exam centres, the invigilators mistakenly distributed English medium question paper to the Hindi medium students. It affected nearly 215 students, who could not appear for the exam on that day, i.e. May 15. So we will conduct an exam for those affected students on May 29. However, this is not a re-exam,” a senior NTA official told indianexpress.com.

The exam was then held on May 29 only for a select group of students, who could not appear for the exam at the Maharana Pratap Group of Colleges exam centre. This decision was taken after a wrong question paper was distributed on May 15.

Meanwhile, the NTA had also refuted reports of alleged paper leaks in the country. “There has been no paper leak in CUET UG exams. It was an isolated incident of wrong question paper distribution in Kanpur’s one exam centre,” said the top NTA official.
