The Central Board of Secondary Education has joined hands with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM) under the Dept. of Personnel and Training, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, the government of India to impart a two-day certificate course on the training of trainers.
The development aligns with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) which stipulates 50 hours of continuous professional development for all teachers and head teachers. Under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, CBSE is targeting to train nearly 15000 Resource Persons (RPs) in several batches.
The course is designed with the core components of the Direct Trainers Skills (DTS) and Design of Training (DoT) and the Integrated Approaches to Child and Adolescent Development. The pilot programme of the curriculum was launched on August 23.
The Board will also try to cater the training needs of 13 lakhs teachers in its affiliated schools through this trained pool of resource persons. The free course will also offer a certificate jointly signed by CBSE and ISTM.
