CBSE Class 12th Results 2024: Improvement exam, re-evaluation dates out

CBSE Class 12th Results 2024: The application window for revaluation and re-verification is now open. Candidates who are not satisfied with the recently declared CBSE Board Class 12th results can register at the official website – cbse.gov.in.

CBSE Class 12th Result Supplementary exam, Reevaluation 2024 dates: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on May 13 released the dates for the supplementary exams and reevaluation process for Class 12. The scorecards are available at the official websites — cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in and umang.gov.in.

As per the official schedule, the Class 12 supplementary exam will be held from July 15.  The application for the supplementary and re-evaluation will be online and the board will not accept any offline application from the student.

The facility for the verification of the marks will be available for five days from May 17 and will conclude on May 21.

Over 1.32 lakh candidates have been placed in the supplementary category or compartment in class 10, while the number of such candidates in class 12 is over 1.22 lakh.

“Three categories of students will be eligible to appear in the supplementary examinations — class 10 students who were unable to pass two subjects and class 12 students who were unable to pass one subject and were placed in compartment category; students who were declared pass by replacing sixth or seventh subject; and class 10 and 12 students who were declared pass but wish to improve their performance in two and one subject respectively,” CBSE Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj said.

This year, the overall pass percentage for the class 12 board exam is 87.98 per cent, with girls securing 91.52  per cent and boys securing 85.12 per cent pass percentage.

Step 1: Go to the official website – cbse.gov.in

Step 2: Navigate to the application link of revaluation, on the home page

Step 3: Login using your necessary credential

Step 4: Fill up the application form and complete your application registration with fee payment

Step 5: Download the form and payment confirmation slip for future reference.

In 2023, the overall pass percentage for Class 12 was 87.33 per cent, which was a dip from 2022. Girls performed better in 2023 with a passing percentage of 90.68 per cent, while boys scored 84.67 per cent. In 2022, students who applied for six or more subjects but were unable to pass any of the first five subjects, with the exception of language, declared pass by substituting the sixth subject from the failed subject were also permitted in compartment examinations to enhance performance in the failed subject.

In 2021, a 99.37 pass percentage was recorded which was nearly 10 per cent higher than the previous year’s 88.8 per cent. In 2019, the overall pass percentage was 83.4 per cent.
