CBSE Class 12 Results 2024: Application for verification of marks starts

Students unsatisfied with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) 2024 results can now apply for verification of marks. In addition to the CBSE Class 12 verification of marks, students can also apply for photocopy of answer sheets and re-evaluation. The last date to apply for CBSE Class 12 verification is May 21. Students will have to apply online at cbse.gov.in.

The CBSE Class 12 result was announced on May 13. Of the 16,21,224 students who appeared in the board exam, as many 14,26,420 students cleared the exam. The overall pass percentage this year is recorded at 87.98 per cent. As many as 1,22,170 students have been placed in the compartment category.

“Candidates applying for verification of marks will only be eligible to apply for obtaining photocopy of evaluated answer book. Candidates who have applied and obtained photocopy of answer book will only be eligible to apply for re-evaluation,” the board said.

The board said that all the processes including application and fee payment will be held online and a decrease in scores even by one mark will be affected. In case of a change in scores, students will have to surrender the Class 12 marksheets 2024, and new ones will be issued.

For obtaining the photocopy of evaluated answer books in CBSE Class 12, only those students who applied for verification will be eligible. In case the candidate wants to challenge the marks awarded to a particular answer, they will have to apply for revaluation.
