Bihar Board BSEB 12th Result 2023: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on March 21 released the Inter (Class 12) board exam result 2023 for arts, commerce and science streams. The Bihar Board Intermediate Exam Result was declared by State Education Minister Chandrashekhar at 2 pm at BSEB Office, Library Road, Patna. BSEB Bihar Board 12th result 2023: BSEB on March 2 released the answer key for inter exams. Candidates were given time till March 6 to raise objections against the answer key. The exams were conducted in pen and paper mode, candidates had to mark their answers on an OMR sheet.
The overall percentage is 83.70 per cent which is an increase of 3.70 per cent from last year’s 80 per cent. Like every year, this year, too, girls have scored better than boys. This year, girls have topped all three streams — Science, Commerce and Arts/Humanities.
BSEB claims that in 2022, 1,13,210 students of other boards enrolled in Class 11 of Bihar Board, including 95,204 students from CBSE. As a result of the online enrollment system, about five lakh students of other boards have taken admission in Class 11 of BSEB since 2018. Read report here

For compartment exams, the application form will be available from March 23 till 27. The compartment exam dates will be announced this week and the result will be declared by May 31.

The BSEB inter Class 12 toppers will receive laptops and cash prizes. Girls have secured first rank in all streams. Each girl topper will get Rs 1 lakh, 1 kindle and one laptop, while second and third rank holders will get Rs 75,000, 1 kindle, 1 laptop and Rs 50,000, a laptop and a kindle. The fourth and fifth toppers will get Rs 15,000 and a laptop.
Each topper in all three streams will be given Rs 1 lakh prize money along with one Kindle e-book reader and one laptop.
The overall pass percentage of Bihar Board BSEB Inter exam for all three streams of science, commerce and arts is 83.70%. The results for 13.04 lakh students were published in 26 days.

This year, commerce stream has recorded highest pass percentage with 93.95 per cent students qualifying the exams. As many as 30,475 students got first division, 12,975 got second and 2,730 got third division.
In the Bihar board 12th result declared today, 5,13,222 students got first division, a total of 4,87,223 students secured second division and 91,503 students got third division
The Bihar board has announced a cash prize of Rs 25000 for all girls students who have qualified the inter exams. The registration process to get the cash prize will begin on April 3 on the board's website.

As amany as 10,91,248 students passed the inter exams which takes the pass percentage to 83.07%. In the stream-wise result Commerce stream has recorded 93.95 pass percentage, Science stream recorded 83.93 per cent and arts recorded 82.74 per cent

It is believed that the BSEB Class 10 (Matric) result will likely be declared before March 31.
In 2022, the overall passing percentage was 83.39 per cent for girls. Girls had also dominated Commerce and Arts stream with a passing percentage of 93.89 per cent, and 81.28 per cent respectively. Even in the compartment exams, there were a total of 44,084, out of which 21,073 were girls.
In 2018, BSEB had conducted the Class 12 exams from February 6 to 16, but the result was declared months later on June 6. To ensure that the result gets declared faster than this, the Bihar board decided to implement 50 per cent objective-type questions in the inter exams.

As per the new marking scheme, the minimum mark that must be obtained to pass the intermediate board exams is 30 in every subject. The total marks for every subject is 100 (theory and practicals combined) except for optional subjects which carry 50 marks.

Students who appeared for the class 12 exam will be able to request for photocopies of BSEB inter OMR sheets.
In 2019, students got an option to choose a sixth paper. Earlier, there were only five papers carrying total marks of 500. These five papers included paper 1 (language), paper 2 (language), and three compulsory subjects of the selected streams (arts, science, commerce). From 2019 onwards, students were able to choose a sixth paper related to the particular stream or any of the 12 languages as an additional subject.
With the introduction of the sixth paper (additional subject), if a student fails in any one of the papers, the marks of the sixth paper will be evaluated as the main subject.

Arts: Sangam Raj from V.M. Inter College, Gopalganj secured first rank and Shreya Kumari of U.D.M. Girls Inter School, Katihar secured second rank.
Commerce: Ankit Kumar Gupta has topped the commerce stream, and Vinita Sinha and Piyush Kumar have scored the second rank.
Science: Saurav Kumar and Arjun Kumar have got join first rank in the Science stream.
