BSE Odisha Class 10 exams: In a first, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha has decided to install artificial intelligence (AI)-powered cameras in examination centres and in strong rooms, where question papers will be stored for better monitoring ofclass-10th board examination scheduled to start from March 20. The examination will continue till March 4. A special team officials will be formed at the command centre of the board office at Cuttack, who will keep a watch on the footage from the cameras, which will be web-casted. “In case any discrepancies are noticed in any of the examination centresor strong rooms, the officials at the command centre will inform the board following which we will take immediate action,” said Ramashis Hazra, presidentof the BSE. Schedule for the Class 10 examination was also announced on the occasion. The BSE president said a total of 5,51,611 students, who have registered with the board will appear for the Class 10 examination to be conducted by BSE in as many as 2,991 centres. The board has earmarked 313 nodal centres where the question papers will be stored. Similarly, 7,831 students will appear for the State Open School Certificate (SOSC) examination at 55 centres while 3,037 students will appear for the Madhyama examination at 107 centres this year, said BSE sources. Evaluation of question papers will start from March 15 and is likely to be completed by March-end.
