Bihar DElEd Admission 2026: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has opened the registration window for the Bihar DElEd programme for the 2026–28 academic session. The board has issued the official notification for the DElEd Joint Entrance Examination 2026, with applications accepted between December 11 and December 24, 2025, on the website bsebdeled.com.

The entrance test will facilitate admission to more than 30,000 seats across the state. The portal also provides details of the 306 colleges participating in the DElEd admission process, along with their respective seat availability.

DElEd Joint Entrance Exam: Eligibility

To be eligible for the Bihar D.El.Ed Joint Entrance Exam 2026, candidates must have secured a minimum of 50 per cent marks in Class 12. A relaxation of 5 per cent is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories. Those who have passed the Maulvi examination with at least 50 per cent marks are also eligible to apply.  The minimum age requirement for all applicants is 17 years, calculated as of the first day of the first month of the admission year.

DElEd Joint Entrance Exam: Qualifying marks

For qualifying for the Bihar D.El.Ed Joint Entrance Exam 2026, candidates from the unreserved category must obtain at least 35 per cent marks, while the qualifying mark for reserved category candidates is 30 per cent.

DElEd Joint Entrance Exam: Pattern

The Bihar DElEd Joint Entrance Exam 2026 will comprise a total of 120 objective‑type questions carrying one mark each, with a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The paper will cover multiple sections, including 25 questions each from General Hindi/Urdu and Mathematics, 20 questions each from Science, Social Studies and General English, and 10 questions from Reasoning and Analytical Ability.

Candidates who clear the entrance exam will be allocated colleges based on their merit and the choice they opted for in the application form.

Meanwhile, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) had released the detailed annual exam calendar for 2026, covering schedules for the Intermediate (Class 12), Matric (Class 10), DElEd, Vocational courses and various departmental examinations. The calendar also specifies exam dates, application periods, dummy card and admit card release timelines, as well as result declaration windows.

According to the BSEB Class 10 datesheet, the Madhyamik (Matric) Annual Examination 2026 which will begin on February 17 and continue till February 25. The calendar also lists vocational and skill-based subjects for Class 10 students. The first shift will be held from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm (with 15 15-minute cool-off time), while the second shift will run from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. The Class 10 practical and internal assessments will be conducted in January 2026, ahead of the theory papers.
