As many as 544 medals were conferred upon students across various programmes in BHU, including the prestigious Chancellor’s Medals and Maharaja Vibhuti Narayan Singh Gold Medals.
The 104th convocation was graced by alumnus and Zscaler Founder, CEO, and Chairman Jay Chaudhry as the Chief Guest. Chaudhry, a global tech leader, delivered an inspiring address, urging students to focus on making a difference rather than chasing money.
“Adversity is a wonderful thing; it makes you figure things out,” said Chaudhry as he recounted his journey from humble beginnings in a farming family to global success. He emphasized resilience, hard work, and lifelong learning, reminding students that their future is in their hands. Reflecting on his fond memories of BHU, he credited the university for his accomplishments and encouraged graduates to strive for excellence while embracing a positive attitude and ethical values.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sudhir Kumar Jain, highlighted the university’s progress in education, research, and infrastructure development.
Prof. Jain lauded the graduating students as future leaders and emphasized the importance of values and gratitude. “The challenges ahead require not only technical expertise but also ethics, collaboration, and a commitment to lifelong learning,” he said. He encouraged students to give back to society, reminding them to remain grateful to their teachers, families, and communities.
The convocation also marked a significant milestone for women achievers, with a greater number of girl students receiving gold medals. Recognizing this, Chaudhry stated, “India needs to realize the power of women,” as he praised their academic accomplishments.
