For the 2nd-year general category in the AP Inter exams, a total of 3,93,757 students appeared, and 3,06,580 students passed. This translates to an impressive pass percentage of 78%, showing a strong performance among final-year students.
A total of 210820 candidates appeared for the AP Inter Supply examination in the improvement category (General and Vocational streams both), of whom 164716 or 78 per cent have passed. In the non-improvement category, 146750 students appeared for the exam and of them, 63548 or 43 have qualified.
As many as 5,03,459 students were eligible to appear for the BIEAP 1st and 2nd year IPASE examinations. Of them, 3,65,872 appeared for IPASE 1st year and 1,37,587 were for IPASE 2nd year. A total of 1,77,012 boy students and 1,69,381 girl students were registered in the 1st year regular course.

In both the IPE 1st and 2nd years, girls had outperformed boys. In Class 11, a total of 2,35,033 girls took the exam, with 1,67,187 or 71 percent passing. For boys, out of 2,26,240 who appeared, 1,43,688 or 64 percent passed.
In the 2nd year, 1,88,849 boys participated in the IPE final exam in 2024, with 1,41,465 or 75 percent passing. Conversely, among the 2,04,908 girls who took the test, 1,65,063 or 81 percent successfully qualified.

BIEAP proposes to remove intermediate first year public exams and conduct only second year exams to reduce exam pressure on students and to achieve equivalence with other boards, including CBSE and other state boards, which do not have board exams for Class 11.
