AISSEE 2025: Application process for admission to Classes 6, 9 starts

AISSEE application process 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited applications for the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2025 for admissions to classes 6 and 9 in 33 Sainik Schools across the country. Interested students can visit the official website– exams.nta.ac.in or aissee.nta.nic.in.

NTA as of now has not released the date of the examination. The online submission of the AISSEE application form will close on January 13 at 5 pm. The last date for fee payment is January 14 at 11:50 pm.

AISSEE 2025: Eligibility 

Students who are studying in Class 5 at a recognized school and are aged between 10 to 12 years as of March 31 are eligible to apply. Additionally, students who have passed the Class 8 exam from a recognized school and are aged between 13 to 15 years as of March 31 can also apply. To qualify, students must have been born between April 1, 2010, and March 31, 2012.

AISSEE 2025: How to apply

Step 1: Visit the official website — aissee.nta.nic.in.

Step 2: Click on the link for the AISSEE application form.

Step 3: Click on ‘new registration’ and enter the required details such as name, parents’ name and more.

Step 4: Once registered, you will get an application number and password.

Step 5: Login using your application number, fill in your details and upload the necessary documents.

Step 6: Save, submit and pay the fees.

Step 7: Download and save the application form for future reference.

AISSEE 2025: Application fees 

AISSEE candidates from the general category must pay an application fee of Rs 800, while students from the SC and ST categories are required to pay Rs 650.

The AISSEE 2025 exam will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode and will take place in 190 cities across the country. The questions will be of the multiple-choice format (MCQ).

Once the candidate has passed the AISSEE, they will have to undergo e-counselling as per the rank secured by them. At present, there are a total of 33 Sainik Schools across the country.
