Murlidhar MoholNew MoS for Civil Aviation, and Co-operation, Murlidhar Mohol, was a wrestler before he entered the political arena. Residing at Maharashtra Sadan nowadays, Mohol has received a steady stream of visitors from the wrestling world since his ministerial appointment.
Last week, Arjuna Awardee and former Commonwealth Games and Asian Games medallist Narsingh Yadav paid Mohol a visit, and was later seen obliging selfie requests from the minister’s supporters. Yadav is a former Maharashtra Kesari winner, an event Mohol has organised in the past. Hind Kesari winners Yogesh Dodke and Abhijit Katke also came to congratulate Mohol.
For Yoga Day
The BJP has instructed its leaders how to go about International Yoga Day celebrations on June 21. While Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend a Yoga event in Srinagar Friday, other leaders have been asked to do the same in their areas. Leaders have been asked to organise at least one programme at booth level and the elected members should attend events in their respective constituencies. BJP general secretary (organisation) B L Santhosh Monday held a coordination meeting with party leaders from various states. They have been asked to ensure the participation of artistes and prominent personalities in Yoga Day events.
Marking Attendance
The Department of Personnel and Training has asked employees of all ministries, departments and organisations to adhere to the biometric attendance system without fail. In a memorandum, the DoPT has said that several employees are not marking attendance despite instructions and some were regularly coming in late. It has asked the HoDs to sensitise colleagues on adherence to the instructions and access the consolidated report regularly to identify defaulters.
