Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has been meeting different groups of people during the BJP's ‘Sampark Se Samarthan’ initiative. On Monday, he interacted with some school principals from Delhi. Among them were some who had met the minister on a train journey to Ludhiana a few months ago — Puri subsequently interacted with them on various occasions. Sharing photos of their meeting on the train, and from Monday’s event, Puri tweeted that they had decided to call themselves the “train yatris”. Late-Meeting Jitters A series of meetings of the BJP leadership over the last few days had sparked speculation over prospective changes in the party organisation as well as in the Union government. While many state units of the party are awaiting a change in the organisation, new induction is expected at the national level, too. However, a late-evening meeting of the party leadership with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday has made many ministers sleepless. As the July 2021 reshuffle had made surprise changes, no one seems to be sure about her/his position in the government. According to a party leader, every late meeting of the top leadership could spring surprises.
