Responding to a series of supplementaries during Question Hour, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri also said though Air India is doing "extremely well", the debt burden on the carrier is "unsustainable".
The minister said the defense forces will also use this system. “All platforms in the air, whether they are fixed wing or rotor craft, etc., are all part of this safety and integrated airflow management system,” he added.
Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, responding to Puri, said they only needed his blessings. “We just want him to keep smiling and extend his blessings to us. There is a concrete plan and no lack of funds for the proposal to allow free travel to women in buses and Metro,” Sisodia said.
Earlier this week, Kejriwal announced that his government proposes to make travel for women free in public transport buses and Metro trains. The move comes a few months ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in Delhi. There are around 5,400 buses, including of 3,700 DTC buses and 1700 cluster buses.
It’s almost midnight and the city appears fast asleep by the time he steps out, but the minister has yet another meeting at a hotel with a group of professionals. “It’s just another 5am-to-1am poll day,’’ he shrugs.
