Delhi Confidential: Kisan Care

Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda, who is leading the government delegation in talks with the protesting farmers, inaugurated a Kisan Call Centre at Krishi Bhawan in New Delhi Wednesday. The call centre will provide an outbound call facility, and will be used for calling farmers to know about their problems. The call centre staff will also provide information to farmers about agriculture-related schemes. On this occasion, Munda, too, made a few calls to farmers and heard their views.

The central BJP has had a number of instances to be disappointed with its Kerala unit, its leadership, and its activities but the latest gaffe seems to have left many in the central leadership fuming. For the rally led by Kerala BJP president K Surendran, a theme song was made and it was officially released on the BJP Keralam YouTube channel. The song has a line calling for “throwing out the corruption-infested Central government”. The next line seeks “support for lotus to throw out such corrupt leaders”. In no time Kerala BJP’s rivals made the song viral. Several visitors to the channel reacted saying “congratulations Surendran for telling the truth at least once”.
