Up for a change

Just when we had begun to believe that the flu is no longer in the air,Karan Thacker aka Shantanu Khandelwal of Rang Badalti Odhani has fallen ill. Karan,in his dedication to his work,shot his solo scenes at his house even though the production team was accommodating enough to offer to change the storyline. If only television moguls were this accommodating of creative and original writing — then we might have a better quality of content to watch.

Love thy family

It is no secret that anything that comes out of the Rajshri stable is going to be about loving the family. But what seems to work for the production house’s Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli is the fact that its actors take it a tad too seriously. If you were to visit the greenrooms of Alok Nath — the eternal father of every Rajshri production — and Karan V Grover,all you would spot are pictures and family portraits from the serial and newspaper articles that have appeared about the show. It’s all very sweet to love your on-screen family,especially when you are spending close to 12 hours with them every day,but seriously guys,get a life.

Preity’s new innings

Preity Zinta has apparently been approached to host a new reality show Guinness Book Of World Records — Ab India Todega. The show,adapted from the international format Guinness Book Of World Records,will have Indians taking on record-holders from other countries. Produced by Miditech,the show is slated to go on air early next year. There has been no comment from Preity’s side yet,but given how little we see of the actress these days,we’re hoping the rumours are true.
