Rajkot Mayor accepts Smart City award

Mayor Nayna Pedhadiya and Municipal Commissioner Anand Kumar accepted Smart City Awards 2022 at a ceremony held in Delhi on Wednesday.

The Mayor and the Municipal Commissioner were conferred the award for the third best water management project among all Smart Cities of India by Hardip Singh Puri, Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs at a ceremony presided over by President Draupadi Murmu.

As part of the project, Rajkot Municipal Corporation will channel runoff to Atal Sarovar and two other lakes in the area by a network of stormwater drainages.
