A resident of Chinchwad,Jayant Prabhakar Joglekar recently drove to Kanyakumari on his motorbike and back,a journey of 3058 kms, which he completed in 99 hours. Ecstatic about his achievement,57-year-old Joglekar, who has been working with Tata Motors from the past 33 years, admits that he did face a few challenges during his trip. At times,I almost gave up but then told myself that I should not quit, he says. The route of his trip was Pune- Bengluru-Madurai- Kanyakumari- Madurai- Bangalore- Pune. It is not the first time that Joglekar covered a long distance on his bike. In July last year,he covered Delhi-Chandigarh-Simla- Manali- Rohtang Pass- Leh (Ladakh) in 57 hours and 15 minutes. Joglekar aims to find an entry into Limca Book of Records some day.
