Anurag Basu seems to be meticulously working his way up Bollywood’s list of leading men. After Kites with Hrithik Roshan,the director has decided to cast Abhishek Bachchan in the lead for his next film which will be produced by good friend,Goldie Behl. According to the grapevine,the role is tailor-made for Abhishek and the film will be his best work to date. Well,we see that Abhi is yet to learn how to politely refuse his friends.

Study time
The first look of Paathshaala—a film about the dismal state of the Indian education system starring Shahid Kapoor— is out,and the film is scheduled to hit the theatres in April. It will tackle several problems faced by students due to the faulty education system. We’re thinking the makers won’t have any trouble driving home the message considering Shahid’s wide fan-base who’d believe that the world was flat if the words came from his lips.

Culture vulture
Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has been selected as the cultural ambassador for the celebration of India’s Independence Day in Washington. Madhur will share the stage with the governor of Washington,several senators and congressmen. Let’s hope these American hotshots know our man well or they could just find that illicit kiss they shared backstage with the bootylicious event manager,the subject of his next exposé on the American political system.
