Fear factor
The release date of Ram Gopal Varma’s Phoonk 2 has been confirmed. The horror thriller will be hitting the screens on April 9. To create awareness about this sequel to Phoonk,the makers have decided to unveil the theatrical promos with Veer on January 22. Given that many from the audience returned from Phoonk resolving never to see another RGV flick,the production house is probably trying to re-sell the idea to them through Salman Khan’s mass entertainer,which comes soon after his successful last,Wanted. Let’s see if it works.

Divine intervention
The nexus between God and Bollywood has just got a leg-up with Ajay Devgn’s visit to the Ajmer Sharif in Rajasthan to seek blessings for his forthcoming movie Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? Ajay visited the shrine to offer his prayers as the film trailer and posters hit the theatres on December 25. Going by Ajay’s good luck in Bollywood of late,the gods have been at their merciful best where the actor’s concerned.

Belle of the ball
Actress Mahie Gill is all set to rock the scenes with a new and dashing look courtesy Delhi-based designers Kapil and Monika. The designer duo has scheduled a shoot of their new collection with Mahie at Mukesh Mills in Colaba. Mahie will be styled by Vijayeta Kumar — personal stylist to Priyanka Chopra and A R Rahman. Hair and make up will be taken care of by Ojas Rajani whose list of clients includes Aishwarya Rai,Neha Dhupia and Urmilla Matondkar. The actress will be peeling off the last of her village belle look in Dev.D and joining the brigade of the too hot-to-handle Bollywood livewires.
